It's funny because when the baby books talk about "sleeping through the night" they are using what they claim is the medical definition: a five hour stretch of sleep. As most of you know, I am NOT a 5 hours a night kind of girl-- more like 10 or 11 for me. Ben and I were disappointed to learn that even though we were still the walking dead, our baby was "sleeping through the night" and had been since he was 2 months old. All that changed last night, when we dreamfed Harry at 10:30 and didn't hear a peep from him until 6:30 am-- that's right, my friends: 8 HOURS OF SLEEP IN A ROW. That's more like it!
Another slightly less celebratory explanation is that we just didn't hear him last night and WE slept through while he was awake and crying for us, since we had the monitor off, preferring instead to just open our door and his door. This is unlikely-- we heard him loud and clear at 6:30-- but who knows, this whole eight hours in a row thing coluld be a fluke.
Anywho, we are all happy and well rested this morning, and we're getting ready to go to the pediatric dermatologist to see what the heck these spots on his arms and legs are all about. Look for more pics soon because Harry's Grandma Lynne is coming to visit tomorrow.
Isn't he growing up quickly.....Bomma
