I was almost nostalgic and weepy this morning getting Jack ready for Little Gym. And when we got there, and there were other floppy 4-month-olds and they all probably got the flu gnawing on bells and jump ropes and plopping their little faces on puddles of other babies' drool on the Big! Red! Mat!, I really thought I was going to lose it. It was just too cute, and I remembered when Harry started Little Gym and was a teeny baby and didn't curse at us.
Then I realized that Harry starts preschool this week, and I am sure to be a giant weepy mess that morning, so I sucked it up and sang the Itsy Bitsy Spider. I was totally into it, too, like Mama Rose was behind the big ball bin telling me to "Sing out, Louise," but Jack didn't know the words, so he just kind of stuck out his gums and chewed on his hands. Kid needs to get a gimmick.
Aww, Jack's in Little Gym!! What nice pictures. Harry is in preschool? How awesome is that!! Tell him to start on his dissertation now. Those things can take YEARS.
ReplyDeleteJack does look like he is having a good time! I kinda like Little Gym. I am watching the Republicans now. I am a bit frightened that a group of people seems to enjoy chanting in unison quite so much. Sieg Heil!
