I know that this doesn't seem like much. Most adults get up and put their clothes on every morning. But, most adults are not academics who teach online all summer while waiting hand and foot on 4 kids. For example.
In summers past, though, I have spent most of my days in yoga pants and stretchy shirts which would be fine if A) I was thin, or B) my athleisure ware was expensive or well-fitting. Or both.
All week last week and everyday so far this week, I have dressed everyday for my days with the kids. I am made up and accessorized by swim lesson time, and you know what? I LIKE IT. My mornings feel a little rushed, but I am able to make plans outside the house whenever I wanted to. I am eating less that I usually do with real wastebands (though, this is my first summer doing intermittent fasting, so that could be it, too), an I felt just plain better about myself.
Think I can get dressed all summer? I don't know, but I am going to try.
This is the only picture I have to show for my efforts. Oops.
Something else I am trying!! Making a snack station on the counter so kids can grab as we go from activity to activity-- another thing I like but probably won't be able to keep up all summer.
