Since the school year has started, every kid has had at least one person sleepover, and we've had sleepovers every weekend, and now everyone is crabby and exhausted. GAH.
But! We really did have a quiet, relaxing little fall couple of days together. I regret not going somewhere festive to get pumpkins because it's going to be C O L D from here on out. But! If all else fails, we will go to Whole Foods for pumpkins and macaroni and cheese croquettes next weekend. Hashtag Madison.
I am back in the baking saddle and have made a huge batch of pumpkin chocolate chip muffins and two batches of pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. WELCOME FALL CALORIES. I missed you.
Sleepover snacks.
Not surprisingly, I was a huge fan of Dorothy's outfit yesterday.

Saturday night, Ben and I and friends went full supper club for date night at the elks lodge, which has THE BEST old fashioneds in town.
Making chicken soup is Beatrix's favorite pastime.
