For Ben’s birthday, we did… nothing. And it felt pretty great. Ben said all he wanted to do was watch the new(ish) Ghostbusters movie, so he did. And he made steak, scallops, lobster tails, asparagus and Brussels sprouts for dinner. I made my usual ugly chocolate layer cake (triple!) with whipped cream frosting, We planned to celebrate with friends in one of those cool igloo outdoor dining things. But then Minnie stopped sleeping, and we cancelled. 43 is SO EXCITING, as I can attest, having been 43 for 10 months now.
