I finally completed a reverse outline of the chick lit novel I have been working on for the last million years, and ... I have identified some, erm, problems. GAH. Like, why are some chapters 12 pages and some FIFTY SIX pages? And also: IS ANYTHING EVER GOING TO HAPPEN IN THIS BOOK?
Of course, this semester has crept up on me, like all semesters eventually do, and I don't have a lot of dedicated time to work on it. And when I do have time, I think of many other things more pleasant than the deep thought this pile of pages needs, you know? Like procrasti-reading, for example.
OR MAYBE I DON'T KNOW WRITING BLOG POSTS.
I spent the extra money to get the iPhone 14 Pro so I could take gorgeous photos like this one:
(EYE ROLLS FOR DAYS.)
Ha ha ha... well if this book ever gets written I imagine it will be humorous!
ReplyDeleteI'd definitely suggest you focus on the blog posts this month and then maybe shift and spend the same amount of time on your novel going forward in December? :P
ReplyDeleteI like Sans idea. NaBloPo is the warm up to getting into novel writing. And if that helps in anyway I love short chapters. Makes me feel I get through a book faster and I actually read more.
