Mondays. Blergh. This week promises to be a challenge.nI will likely tell you about it next Monday when it is just a memory. A happy memory, damnit.
I sat down at Dorothy’s swim practice yesterday and made a list of intentions for the week, so cross your fingers I can see them through.
Can you even believe that I let Minnie eat breakfast in my bed? It’s either that or get out of bed in the early sixes, and NO to that. I do ask her if she wants to eat in Ben’s bed, but she usually does not.
Minnie asks every single day if “mon-on-o” (tomorrow) is Halloween and tells me that she needs a new bucket and would like “ormee” (orange) this year, not pink.
As you might imagine, Harry was THRILLED that Minnie messed with his watch and scribbled all over his calendar pages.
Dorothy had dance team practice on Saturday morning, but the rest of us loved attending a home game of Cooper’s. Hockey is REALLY FUN to watch at the U13-level.
She ate SO MUCH SUGAR out of the bowl while I was softening butter in the microwave when we made cookies on Friday. Oops.
Chandelier earrings and sweats, YES, please.
Big news— Minnie realized she could use her stool to do things like brush her teeth and wash her hands. YUGE.
THAT PIKE THO. So awesome.
We had fun at dive on Thursday (2 hours— I was worried), but man did we bring a lot of stuff.
I took a billion pics of Coop diving that I will post here for posterity— it’s SUCH a fun sport to watch. I spent a lot of the practice trying to convince Dorothy to ease up on dance next year and expand to dive (and maybe cheerleading) because I want to spend more time watching my kids hurl themselves into the water **shrug**
Those dives look legit! And can I say, Minnie is super cute but Dorothy's style makes me happy every time I see a 'fit
ReplyDeleteME TOO— I love seeing what she puts on in the morning.
DeleteWow! Those dives are impressive and it's great that you're able to get such good photos of them, too!
ReplyDeleteIt’s my favorite sport to watch
DeleteWow those dives are amazing. For me it does look so scary but I guess if you got the technique down its just like any other sport that may look dangerous to amateurs....
ReplyDeleteIt looks scary to me, too— especially reverse dives and inwards.
DeleteI must say, Minnie looks great in pink (see the bodysuit!), but I love her cute orange outfit :)
ReplyDeleteI would for sure wear that bodysuit
DeleteWow, those dives are AMAZING!! Meanwhile I never really learned how to dive well from the side of the pool. Your son has SKILLZ!!
ReplyDeleteOh Minnie. She's got great style! But the toddler tantrums are brutal. We had several of those this weekend. We had a near meltdown/tantrum at the zoo but I was able to get them out of the zoo before that happened. Then Paul got upset because I was walking too fast (in my attempt to avoid a public meltdown) and said it was the worst morning ever because he is the slowest walker. Le sigh.
toddler tantrums are THE VERY WORST. Because I parent Minnie like I am her grandma, we usually avoid them LOL
