Grateful Thursday, Volume 2

Jack, and Ben, and I spent 3 months watching Big Brother 3 nights a WEEK. Occasionally, Harry joined us, too, but he is not home most nights. (And honestly? I think this is good because he is MOVING AWAY in August to go to school, and I NEED TO GET USED TO IT)..

I loved spending time with Jack (and Harry!) in the evening, and I love having an excuse to watch that dumb show (I LOVE IT).

We celebrated the end of an XL season (100 days in the house!!) with an XL sushi order and 2 bags of Reese’s PB trees. #sorrynotsorry.

I am so overcome with gratitude for this season of life. An adorable preschooler

A tween who still wants to hang out with me

Sporty Spice

And 2 sweet, wonderful teens

Oh! Yes! Speaking of bragging about my teens!

Jack and I had this experience the other week:

And!! LAST NIGHT!! Harrison was finally inducted
into National Honor Society (the school auditorium (and most of the rest of the place) has been under construction for a YEAR).

We are so proud of him.

Oh! One more thing I am SO GRATEFUL FOR! My online class for next semester that I have been working SO HARD on all semester? Filled up within hours of enrollment opening. So I added 10 seats. AND THOSE FILLED! So I added 5 more. AND THOSE FILLED, too!!! I am so so so happy that something I think sounds amazing also appeals to students. And soooo relieved. I was worried enrollment would begin and **crickets.**

Cheers to another week of chaos and delight, friends!

  2. This is all so great, congrats to those amazing teens of yours! (what is XL?) I love it all. I also will say that my older son worked a lot of shift work last year and it helped a lot with the transition to having him at school. It's a big transition obviously but it does help a lot to take those steps.

  4. Ah we like BB too (not so much my teen, but for my husband and I its a guilty pleasure)! My teen loves Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon, and we went back and started from episode 1 and just finished Big Bang, now starting that for Young Sheldon. It's been a fun way to connect!

  6. Congrats. It is amazing that your class filled up not one, not twice but three times. Amazing.
I am sure you mentioned it at some point but I cant't remember. What are you teaching?

Also Sushi nights are good nights.

  7. I'm actively reminding Eli that he can still live at home after graduation. For all my bluster, I'm not ready!

    1. He has been admitted to 7/8 schools and is waiting on UW. Plus he might apply to one more place that guarantees med school admission after undergrad…
