Tuesday Randomosity

Have you ever met a person in real life who ACTUALLY SLEEPS LIKE THIS? She is too much.

Also!! She still actually sleeps in a Halo Sleep Sack, only it is the biggest size they make and she definitely cannot straighten her legs anymore, and yet! She wants to wear it every night. **yikes face** That’s one of the baby quilts my grandma made, BTW,

Oh, Dorothy. She is tiny and adorable on the outside, but her sense of humor on the inside? SHE IS HILARIOUS in a very inappropriate way thanks to her unfettered TV access and her love of adult cartoons. The most delightful contradiction.

Minnie’s class is doing a pizza unit, and this is her personal pie. Not enough cheese, but otherwise, I am in. OF COURSE THOUGH I feel the need to make pizza dough in the bread machine and let her make a pizza for realz. Ben HATES MYO pizza night because it’s a big mess and the pizza is always just OK, but I hope he’s excited to give it another shot (BEING MARRIED TO ME IS A DREAM).
Dorothy is excited that I am back on dance chauffeur duty because her ballet bun is back to being PERF. **smug smile**
THESE JAMMIES YOU GUYS. Ben’s mom bought them for Harry and jack one million years ago, and here they are on my little living stuffie.

  2. Living stuffy! Yes, I have felt this way when my kiddos were little and snuggly. I saw the top picture of Minnie and thought - that looks like a sleep sack. Bless! Babies grow up fast so I love when they hold on to vestiges of babyness.

(BEING MARRIED TO ME IS A DREAM).- HAHAHAHA!

I now exclusively make homemade pizzas on store-bought Naan bread. I prefer thin crust and it's about 1 million times easier than making yeasted dough.

  5. I died at LIVING STUFFIE. I can't believe she still opts for a sleep sack. She looks like a little angel when she's sleeping. Nice job with the perfect bun for dance class. The chauffeur to dancing class has reminded me of a funny story that Mini just shared recently about her Irish dancing days of yore. I'll have to post about it.

We rarely make our own pizzas, also we rarely eat pizza because it crushes my soul to smell real pizza and then have no option but a frozen cauliflower option for GF me.

  7. She is so perfect. I used to drop Angus off at nursery school then come home and put Eve down for a nap, and I'd carry her in the room going NO NO NO NO NO and by the time I walked back out she was asleep with her butt in the air.
Eve was my little squishy baby until she was five and it is the most magical thing.

  8. Omg Minnie is the cutest cutie in the world!!! I want to hear how those pizzas come out. Homemade pizzas with kids is one of those things that sounds so fun but can turn into a nightmare. I do make homemade pizza with dough from scratch, but I also like Elisabeth's idea of making in on naan.

  14. Minnie totally looks like a doll in that first pic. Taco hasn't worn a sleep sack for a year+. He is quite tall so it would be hard to find one that fit him and he seems to run warm so doesn't need as many blankets as I do. He doesn't use a pillow yet either. He's a stomach sleeper, though.

I love that Minnie's class is doing a pizza unit! We've been really happy with our new daycare. It seems more play based and less academically focused that the Spanish Immersion daycare we had been at. That probably sounds like an odd reason to like it but I feel like the last place was OVERLY focused on academics and then Paul learned how to write his letters wrong so he had to re-learn that in kindergarten. And he almost learned too much in preschool so is now kind of bored in kindergarten. Like he can read and was already doing a lot of math, etc. Taco will go to the public school pre-K program the year before kindergarten so I figure he'll get plenty of academic exposure there. Right now at his daycare, they are learning about recycling and garbage trucks which is right up his alley since he's obsessed with garbage trucks and anything with wheels. He'd also love a pizza unit. :)
