1. Coop had a diving meet in Milwaukee where he competed on the 3m springboard and the 1m springboard, and he won both events with new high scores and now has both of them qualified to the AAU diving nationals this summer in FL. He's so, so, so awesome.
2. While she was watching diving, Minnie drew this amazing picture of her family. LOL for days3. She also got PLENTY OF SCREEN TIME between the meets themselves and the drive there and home BOTH DAYS.
4. ALSO we watched the very last hockey game of the season **praise hands**
5. And we were back at diving the next morning before 8 am for more. (He had 3m on Saturday and 1 m on Sunday).
Here are his dives from Sunday-- he's so awesome you guys! I can't even be cool about it:
those dives are amazing!!! I felt like I was watching the Olympics. So so cool. If it's in south florida and the pubic are allowed in i would totally come watch this meet!!
ReplyDeleteI'll keep you posted!
DeleteWowza! Coop's dives are super cool!! And congratulations on getting into Nationals! What a lot of effort the whole family puts into supporting him... pat on the back and cookies for all of you!
ReplyDeletethanks for recognizing the support staff
DeleteWhat an exhilarating display of diving! Coop's commitment and hard work really shine through in those dives. It's heartwarming to see the whole family rallying behind him, contributing to this success. Achieving a spot in the Nationals is no small feat – congratulations are in order! The dedication of athletes and their support systems is what makes sports so inspiring.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Maria Positiva
thanks!
DeleteCongrats to Cooper! Amazing job!
ReplyDeletethanks!
DeleteAs always, I'm exhausted just thinking about all the extracurriculars but DON'T BE "COOL" ABOUT THIS BECAUSE IT IS INCREDIBLE. I 100% would not be surprised to see him win an Olympic goal medal some day. Wow.
ReplyDeleteThis is just so cool and amazing <3 <3
thank you!!
DeleteCoop IS the coolest kid - what an amazing thing to see as his mom!!
ReplyDeleteit's so fun to watch!
DeleteI love when parents have zero chill about their kids' achievements. Such a beautiful family you have, all the grimaces and lack of bodies aside.
ReplyDeleteso many grimaces
DeleteLove the family portrait! Did she tell you who was who?
ReplyDeleteha-- Ben is the big grump
DeleteWow, awesome dives! We’ve been at that pool many times (for swimming, not diving). It’s a great pool but really needs a makeover! And it’s always like 9,000 degrees in there. (Maybe diving meets aren’t as crowded as swim meets though? Not sure.)
ReplyDeleteSO HOT and so old! (Like me LOL LOL LOL)
DeleteI watched all of Coop's dives- yes, he is awesome! And he won both events? CONGRATULATIONS COOP.
ReplyDeleteI love Minnie's drawing. I can imagine a therapist saying "So, I see you have a very angry family..."
I didn't comment on the last post but your hair is SO CUTE!!!
thanks-- I also thought about what the therapist would say
DeleteThis is Lisa. I am impressed with Minnie’s drawings! Taco draws ‘a cat’ every day for Phil but it is very abstract and basically a bunch of scribbles. Which is fine. But he can’t do what Minnie is doing!
ReplyDeleteHis dives are amazing!!
she always draws grumpy little potato people
DeleteThose dives are simply amazing. Congrats to him for qualifying for Florida. I know nothing about diving, but is he being scouted by Olympic coaches? More diving before 8 am, eek.
ReplyDeletethanks! he was 17th in prelims at nats last year, so no scouts... yet
