1. Before the madness of 3 full days in the office (LOL I know exactly how stupid that sounds) hit, we added 2 chairs to our living room and WHERE HAVE THEY BEEN MY WHOLE LIFE?
A PERFECT PLACE TO HAVE COFFEE IN THE MORNING and likely TAKE A ZOOM or two
A vantage point I never got before:Some place to relax with Kamala HarrisSO MANY PLACES TO SIT NOW3. I FREAKING LOVED being the parent who goes to work and has the WHOLE OTHER PARENT IN MY TOWN to depend on. Pretty sweet when the stars align.4. We got to see a Bradley volleyball game at the UW field house because they came to play a preseason match- SO FUN!
5. Harry goes to college in eight days, and my denial bubble is definitely starting to burst. BABY HARRY who just this week celebrated the 11 year anniversary of LEARNING TO TIE HIS SHOES is going to COLLEGE?!?!Ok, friends. We are just 12 days away from the start of my school (but I don’t have on-campus obligations until 9/9) and school for Jack, Cooper, and Minnie. Dorothy starts in 11 days because in our district, kindergarteners, 6th graders, and 9th graders go a day before everyone else because they are the youngest grades at their schools. The pool closes in 10 days!! Minnie makes her flower girl debut in 9! BIG THINGS in a small amount of time. **cue anxiety attack**
BIG THINGS!!!
ReplyDeleteNot going to lie, drop off day might be hard. Good, but hard. So, sending you a big big hug. Also, love the chairs, I wish I had room for those!
WOW- you do have a lot of big things coming up! College drop off will definitely be hard (Nicole, what is this "might be???") but as always, like goes on and it sounds like you won't have any time to mope around!
ReplyDeleteI want a Kamala Harris doll!
Eleven years from tying shoes to college! That's really a thing.
ReplyDeleteGood luck TO ALL with the new school year in sight!!
So much going on. Very exciting. That college drop off thing is tough, but it gets easier. (Coach and I just got home from dropping off Mini at ND. We snuck her into her dorm a day before she was allowed and then got dinner, and it worked). Cute pictures as usual. Fun to have Bradley show up on your turf. Who did you cheer for? Good luck with all the happenings. Looking forward to the updates.
ReplyDeleteI like when sitting spaces are circles (I think I'm very influenced by 70's sofa pits?) so I love your new chair placement!
ReplyDeleteAnd I thought that closeup of Minnie in sunglasses was Dorothy... Yikes!
So many big things coming up--I hope the fun outweighs everything else and I hope you don't embarrass yourself by crying at college drop off (like I did).
I need more info on those chairs.
ReplyDeleteMinnie suddenly looks like a BIG KID and WHAT HAPPENED. She turns 4 and suddenly thinks she doesn't have to be a toddler anymore???
Good luck on drop-off day! I know that will be difficult but you can do it!
I love that Harry went to the Harris/Walz event! That is so cool! I feel like kids these days are way more engaged in politics. I don't remember much about politics when I was a teen... The first presidential election I voted in was 2000 and there wasn't any social media then so maybe social media has increased political engagement?
ReplyDeleteI hope drop off day goes ok. I know it was so very hard for my mom! She said she couldn't even walk by my brother's room for quite some time. But then by the time she got to me she had "shrug emoji" energy.
I thought one Minnie pic was Dorothy too, wtf, STOP GROWING MINNIE.
ReplyDeleteMy oldest is a whole-ass employed adult and my daughter is in fourth year and I still kind of hate this whole thing. I went to put away the last laundry in her room last night and it's all clean and empty and it sucks. i should have had three more, hmph.
Your new chair are so cute. You have a very cozy living room!
