1. Dorothy delights in Annabel's utter viciousness. Like, I think this teeny, prissy little dog would love to kill and eat a rodent. It is SO fun to play tug of war with her and listen to her fierce growl. She does that charming thing that dogs do when they show all of their teeth at once. Her little black eye widen until we can see the whites-- it's pretty cute. Here she is trying to eat Dorothy's hair and face:
2. She is SO NICE, even when we do things she doesn't like. Things like take her on a rode down a slide and make her wear sweaters (pictured). Also, everyday things like use a coconut scented pet wipe to get the poop out of her tail fur (she's getting a little shave at the vet on Friday), giving her a bath, picking her up to get her out of a room we'd rather she not be in (ANY ROOM WITH CARPET). She's very good at making her opinions known but also understanding her place in the pack (to be clear-- she is pretty sure that she outranks Minnie).
3. She is getting WAY BETTER at going on walks, which is a delight for all of us. I cannot even wait to buy her a puffy coat and some itty bitty boots.4. She's still only 3.1 pounds, meaning she is really fun to just scoop up and squeeze-- even when she growls a little. Especially when she growls a little?5. She loves nothing more than stealing speedos, socks, and sports bras from the laundry and absconding to her bed with them.
Hee hee. I can see how it would be SO CUTE when Annabel growls, like she thinks she's going to intimidate someone. Also... itty bitty boots?????? I'll be waiting for a picture of that!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie pie! My own cutie pie ate a big piece of dead deer and then that piece of dead deer was regurgitated on my floor on Wednesday right before I was going out with the girls, so I hear you on the viciousness. Welp. Anyway, she's so cute. Rex is 96.7 pounds heavier than her, she would be the size of his paw I think!
ReplyDeleteI secretly love it when Hannah growls, too. And hugging her while she growls is the best. She's never growling at me (although she did growl at us when we were doing her nails last weekend and we laughed at her, but probably should be following her cues more carefully) and I love how her whole body vibrates.
ReplyDeleteAnnabel was bred to kill rodents and is a viscous murderer cosplaying as a fluffy, cutie pie.
She really is so cute. I love the one brown eye. Darling. Hooray for her getting better at going for walks. Walking a dog is so much fun, when they like it. I can't get over how tiny she is. I'd be worried that someone would step on her. Such cute pics.
ReplyDeleteLittle dog growls are adorable. My aunt has a tiny little yorkie who growls while playing tug of war with the smallest rope you've ever seen. We have a greyhound, an absolute gentle giant who would never growl, which is good because based on some quick math he is about 29 times the weight of little Annabel and I think that would be scary v cute lol
ReplyDeleteShe is a DARLING. That picture of her in her little bed. *Clutching heart with the cuteness*
ReplyDeleteHow long is it before she can go for a long walk? Can she ever go for a long walk? I remember reading that puppies have loose joints, so you can't take them for long walks until they fuse properly. Also, my neighbor has a small dog who is maybe 2, and if you try to take her for a long walk, she will sit down and say no, and that has nothing to do with joints. The smallest dog I've ever had was 35 lbs and could do 3-5 miles with me, so I'm curious. Wondering as we get older if a smaller dog might be a better idea for us.
ReplyDelete3.1 pounds! Is she going to get bigger?
ReplyDeleteShe is such a sweet little lady! I love how fluffy she is. Little baby growls!
