Halloween Wrap Up

 Dance Halloween:

Middle school Halloween (baby day and then celebrity day)

Preschool Halloween:
ACTUAL HALLOWEEN!!

We started with the traditional monster bagel face and a kid old enough to assemble her own:
Then we had normal work and school days, with Dorothy and Cooper planning to have friends ride the bus home with them and use our house as a trick or treat home base (with pizza!) and Jack planning to have friends over after rehearsal for movie-watching and candy eating (plus some doggy-sitting and door answering).

SUCCESS!
This is the only picture I got of Cooper, and you can't even see him

Minnie and Annabel were SUPER HELPFUL with the candy
I really don't have pics of the kid without their friends **whomp whomp** but I did take a bunch of Minnie as Ben and I followed her through our windy, freezing neighborhood and drank fireball to stay warm

We ABSOLUTELY carved our pumpkins too early
The Care Bears came home mid-evening to use the bathroom and get some water, and I got one picture:
Annabel was a Beanie Baby

Minnie almost didn't go ToTing because she left her wand at school (she also left her wings, and I stopped on my way home from campus to retrieve those, but I didn't notice the wand).

No one went to bed until AFTER 10 pm, so this was Minnie the next morning:

  1. So many Halloween gatherings. I would loose track. Sounds like a fun day and full of laughter.
It is such an American thing and I can't quite grasp it. But you look so happy. Happy Halloween.

  2. Hahahaha, that's SO FUNNY because Annabel really does look like a beany baby!!! As always, Minnie is so frickin cute. Sounds like everyone had a fun and festive day. I'm imagining Friday morning was NOT fun though.

It was cold here too but the wind died down in time for trick or treating which helped. The boys had a blast! I am loving these peak holiday years with littles. Taco actually wanted to trick or treat longer than Paul but Paul couldn’t be outdone so he rallied and went back out with Taco and dad for another 30 min. Taco has some real stamina!

  4. The Care Bear is a great outfit, because it stays warm and comfortable! I froze my butt off a lot as a kid with some of the more girly costumes. Tutu and tights just don't cut it!

  5. We carved our pumpkins too early - that is such a great caption for that photo, I died. Also, the pup as a TY stuffie is perfect. Sorry about the wand and the morning after grumpies.

  6. I'm just laughing thinking about someone in Florida wearing that Care Bear costume. We would DIE, lol. It was in the 80s on Halloween.

ANNABEL AS A BEANIE BABY! I cannot.

  7. Well the pumpkins were not UN scary. It was windy and warm here, which feels weird but is good for the kids, I guess. Love the pics - Eve still sends me pictures of her and her housemates and their costumes, which I love. Your house sounds so warm and chaotic and lovely.

  8. Your Halloween looks fun. We skipped the pumpkin carving all together this year since last year I had to finish them by myself (only half the fun).

  9. Such cuties! Love that Annabel was a Beanie Baby. We were up so late too and I really relate to Minnie's post-Halloween morning dismay.

  10. Minnie is darling! Also, Annabel as a Beanie Baby is genius. Whose idea was that? Top marks!
We didn't even buy a single pumpkin this year. You know I'm pretty lame on the Halloween front, but the kids still had a great time and got tons of candy and now we have 360ish days until it rolls around again!

  11. I love Annabel as a Beanie Baby, SO CUTE. Minnie looks adorable and like she had a great time. We had 1 trick or treater, the neighbor's kid was looking for her mom, who was here dropping off a package. That's it. Blerg.

  14. I hosted a group of Care Bears at my house for trick or treating and pizza as well, and my daughter was also the Funshine of the group - too funny! The Care Bear costumes were her idea and I was so happy she was able to convince 5 of her friends to do it with her (and they were able to convince their parents to buy the costumes) because they looked so cute going door to door as a group, and got so many comments from adults answering the doors who used to watch Care Bears as a kid, to little kids who were treating them like celebrities, "Mom! It's the Care Bears!" Really fun. Glad your crew had a good time as well!

Minnie's morning after face. Same girl! Annabel as a beanie baby was inspired.
