Dorothy's friends yelled EAT when they saw my new shoes, so I think that's good. Also, yes I do plan to wear these out of the house.
Cooper also has influenza-A in addition to strep, so that's been terrible for him. He feels like trash, and he is allergic to ibuprofen, so he can only take tylenol every 6 or so hours. SUCH A BUMMER.
(also amoxicillin and tamiflu)
I am teaching a public speaking workshop for law students this week, and I got a whole afternoon in a quiet and fairly clean house to work on it.
Woof is it cold here, you guys. I crammed my Comfy under my coat for Annabel's Sunday morning dog walk
FROZEN LAKE!! A kid pick-up treat
Minnie can change he earrings-- she HATES putting new ones in and out, but she loves the way they look:
Oh poor Cooper, hope he's better soon.
ReplyDeleteYes, we'll get through it. Avoid the news at all costs.
ReplyDeletePoor Cooper- the worst part is he's allergic to ibuprofen??? Tylenol just doesn't do it for me. I hope he feels better soon!
Oh no. It is the season for sickness and these cold temps are NOT helping. There was a school ski trip today and it was cancelled because it's so darn cold. I wasn't sad - I was going and know I would have been MISERABLE. An extra evening in my PJs at home by the fireplace? Um...yes, please!
ReplyDeleteThat little ball of fluff peeking over the coach is a riot. Stuff a bummer that Cooper is sick. Sounds miserable. My morning news program, WGN, is 90% entertainment. That’s the right combo for me.
ReplyDeleteDang it. . . That was Ernie.
ReplyDeleteThere is SO MUCH influenza-A right now. I heard that the vaccine is basically not effective this year, so that's not great. I mean, people are already anti-vaccination and having an ineffective vaccine right now is not great timing. I hope Cooper feels better soon!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, that's a rough combo! My boys had that strap and influenza a combo last fall. Then Phil got influenza A, which developed into pneumonia. In other words, it was a dumpster fire.
ReplyDeleteOne of our hospitals closing + a surge in influenza and covid = no rooms at the inn. I spent nearly 24 hours in the ER (part of the time in a "garage bed" which is in the actual ambulance bay!) because no beds were available. I'm an overachiever of influenza + pneumonia, and now that I have a hospital room I'm not giving it up until I can walk to the bathroom without wheezing. Sending Cooper some healing vibes!
